Hi all,

I got my 4 Opae Ula about a month ago, they came with a vase and brackish water. The vase holds about 10 ounces of water. I loved watching them swim around, yet I felt that they needed a larger home. Here is a before pic:

I purchased a 2 quart container from Wal-Mart, a plant and some fake coral, with black gravel (going with a black and red-orange volcano color scheme.) I mixed up some brackish water, arranged the decor, and put them in. They are zooming around, having about 7 times more room!

Job well done that, they will surely enjoy the free space to roam around more and explore. One thing these shrimp love to do is swim around and use the whole water column unlike fresh water shrimp which just hang out on the bottom 90% of the time. You will also keep their water parameters way more stable having a larger capacity.
