Here is my newly setup tank, the seller of the shrimps also sold me his brackish water and it is a bit cloudy. Is there any way to make the water clear?

Are you 100% sure it was the water that was cloudy and not the sand not being thoroughly clean? It should settle down.

I was thinking the same thing too, it’s probably dust from the substrate and ornaments. It looks very nice though looking at the images!

You will get cloudy water soon from a bacterial bloom but this too will sort it’s self out. Good luck and keep us all up to date with how you progress!

i boil the corals, rinse multiple times and soak them in distilled water. same for substrate, i rinse them more than 5 times, maybe about 8 till im satisfied with the water clarity. I didnt expect the water to be so cloudy after putting in the tank. Sure, will just wait and watch what happen next. thank you guys! =)

It’s a good thing to have this on your water, you will see a lot at the start until it gets eaten. Leave it where it is.

PH is fine, salinity is fine but Nitrites and Nitrates are high so do a water change with fresh brackish water.

I’d do 50%

You cannot add salt directly to the tank once you have snails or shrimp, you need to make some fresh brackish water by adding salt to bottled water/RO water/distilled water, make it match the same salinity as your tank then remove some water from your tank and replace it with the brackish you just made. I advise making it in a clean bucket.
