The only time I've ever fed them was a pin head size bit of Spirulina mixed with tank water I put x3 drops onto the new rock before I left, just as a treat, other wise they only have the Algae growing in the tank. I've a back up of Algae growing in a glass sweet jar in SG 1.010 RO water on the window sill if the tank ever looks sparce but even with 1 Horned Nirite Snail the tank seems to be at equlibrium :grin3:

I'd certainly recommend hanging a rock near the tank surface, there's always a few milling about in the tunnels, and on it. I hardly see them on the Lava rocks at all now :grin3:

o0o the 2nd photo with the shrimp to the right of that red box looks promising for eggs maybe, keep an eye on her.

in the meen time

there's at least 2 or 3 with eggs :grin3: which hasn't stopped them scooting about the tank and playing hard to photo
the hanging rock is still the favourite place
