hi guys, will i still need to cycle a brand new tank but with substrate and water from a mature tank?

If i decided to add in some new rocks, will it become a 'new tank' and do i need to cycle the tank?

Thank u!

same sentiment! but the gravel from my friend's mature tank is offwhite crush corals. i hope algae will eventually grow wild on these rocks like yours!
